Aerotoxic Syndrome

I was just reading an article about "Aerotoxic Syndrome" out of the latest Nexus magazine last evening. The author wrote about the toxic oil fumes that could potentially leak into aircraft cabins during flight.

Compressed air is used in airliners at high altitudes. Unknown to most people, this compressed air comes from the forward section of the engine. Should this air be contaminated with oil from the engine, it could create a very toxic environment due to the organophosphate chemicals in jet engine oils. Exposure to these chemicals is very dangerous and can cause serious ill health. This is worth researching!
