Our Bodies Don't Need Fish Oil

But we do need Parent Essential Oils...

(Natural Healing Tools Resource Article) As noted, fish oils are part of the omega-3 fatty acid family. They are best termed “derivatives,” as they are produced from the “parents” on an as needed basis in extremely limited amounts. It is important to understand that we do not need fish oil to live — we need parent omega-6 and parent omega-3 fatty acids to live. Fish oil doesn't contain these essential parents.

Parent omega-3 fatty acids can be found in a variety of foods, including nuts and seeds as well as in animal products such as meat and eggs. Flaxseeds and flaxseed oil also contain parent omega-3s. The more important omega-6 fatty acids are found in many different food sources, including nuts and seeds as well as animal products. Compared to omega-3 fatty acids, there are generally more omega-6 fatty acid sources in food. Our bodies contain much more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3 fatty acids.
